Party Label Cup by Jaehyung Hong

It takes out away the one things that ruins my parties every year: Permanent Marker Fumes. Police and party crashers I can handle but those fumes... I love simple solutions for real problems.

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?

This guy is hilarious
I know this is probably blasphemy since I work on McDonald's, but this is just too good not to blog about. Just goes to show you how good advertising takes from real life and sometimes good advertising IS real life.

Symbaloo - Start Simple.

Symbaloo is striving to create the simplest web 'start page' ever. They're definitely onto something here. Sure, my.yahoo, and igoogle are fairly utilitarian, but they're missing all my other tools, mail, and such. I'm glad someone has begun to redesign, and repurpose this experience.

Pixel Notes Wallpaper by Duncan Wilson

In contrast to the high tech light emitting wallpaper. Here's some awesome low tech wallpaper. Again, much props to JBiggs for the lead.

A wallpaper consisting of four layers of varying grey tones on a bright primary backing. Each layer is perforated in a grid format and backed with a tacky adhesive similar to ‘post-it’ notes. Pixelnotes is inspired by the way we work within a space. The walls become functional, an integrated noticeboard that documents our activity within the room. Pixelated formations and shapes develop according to our patterns of use. Read more about it here.

MeBox by Graphic Thought Facility

Check out these awesome boxes that come with precut holes that you can pop out yourself to label them. Uber high style. Props to JBiggs for passing this along. I'm still looking for where you can buy them in the US because Design Within Reach isn't selling them anymore. Check MeBox out here.

ALL COMMERCIALS, ALL THE TIME!!!

DAYAMN! Who is this honey!?!?!?!?Late Friday night, I came across this program on the ION Network. It's a show that plays commercials from 11pm til midnight. It also has a website that simulcasts the program 24/7. It's pretty damn cool for advertising nerds like me.

This is an awesome Rube Goldberg-style web ad that looks like a standard e-commerce site. Very cool execution.

Clockwise or Counter-clockwise?

This is fascinating. The figure will spin in a certain direction depending on how your brain is operating at the time. If it's clockwise you're in "right-brain" mode; counter-clockwise you're in "left-brain" mode.

wow...

why can't political ads in the U.S. be like this?

An example of truly genius writing:

The follow-up to "Evolution"

wow...this is bad...

wait for it...
